What does “bounded by permission” actually mean?
Retrieval is scoped before generation. ORB resolves what the asker is entitled to read, retrieves only from that set, and answers from it — rather than searching everything and then trying to redact. Two people asking the same question can correctly get different answers.
Why no cache?
A cached answer was produced under someone else’s entitlements. Serving it to the next person would leak whatever they were not entitled to see, so ORB does not reuse answers between users.
Where do the answers come from?
Your own approved material — policies, SOPs, schedules, fee tables. Every answer carries its sources, the system and path they live in, and the page they were read at, so it can be opened and checked.
Does it replace the systems we already have?
No. ORB reads from them and answers over them. The source systems stay the record, and the governance queue is where changes to what ORB may say are reviewed and approved.
How long does a deployment take?
Three to four weeks to onboard a desk, including the source connections, the permission model and the review workflow.
